Most leather liquid soaps contain glycerin which is arguably bad for leather because it draws in moisture from the air and clings to the leather. Moisture of this nature is great for skin, but not leather because it can't defend itself from mold! Not only that, water doesn't lubricate leather fibers, it drys them out!
 
There is not really a need for excess oils in soap when applying to leather because you should already apply oil or balm afterwards always always always! 
 
Soap + water = clean but dry leather. Even with tons of extra oils and wax in soap, it does not make up for the loss of oils that the soap and water delivers. When you apply oil or balm afterwards, you reverse this dryness and keep your leather healthy. Oil lubricates deeper than balm, but balm gives your leather oil AND a barrier of wax to protect from scuffs and water. I sell mink oil balm that isn't diluted with tallow.
